Over 30 delegates recently attended a series of Breakfast Seminars on Auto Enrolment hosted by leading Three Counties firm of chartered accountants and business advisers, Young & Co.
The seminars were held at the firm’s Hereford office. The invited speaker was, John Noonan, a qualified Financial Planning Expert with Positive Solutions (Financial Services) Limited.
The new Auto Enrolment pension regulations have already started to be phased in and the majority of businesses will have to start to comply in 2016 and there will be penalties in place for those who are not prepared and miss the deadlines.
In his talk, John gave a flavour of what Auto Enrolment was all about and covered topics such as how to assess your workforce, your duties as an employer, its effect on existing pension schemes and the penalties The Pension Regulator will impose if you don’t comply.
